Strudel, Spatzle, Benz, and Brats
Twenty-nine members of the Eastern Oklahoma section participated in their first annual Benz & Brats gathering on Thursday August 18, 2022, at the home of Harriet and John Kushnerick. We have found that events in member homes creates the best opportunity for face-to-face conversations and introductions in a warm environment.
The menu consisted of Grobe Bratwurst and Kolbasse grilled by section President John Kushnerick. Members brought an array of side dishes, salads, and desserts. Brats were purchased at Seigi's Meat Market- a favorite German eatery in Tulsa. The section also provided chilled bottled water and seltzers. This was a BYOB event and some members brought beer and wine.
A fortunate break from the summer heat allowed members to eat inside or out of the patio. It was great to see section members Bill and Pat Nash who drove in from Edmund Ok and to see other members who have not been able to attend one of our recent gatherings or drives.
Members were informed of the upcoming Medallion Rally, First American Museum drive, drive to the Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum and other upcoming fall events.
